Game Benchmark Is Live and Free for Every Publisher

Key takeaways

  • Publisher Analytics is now live and free for every publisher with a verified website.
  • Game Benchmark offers a new way to discover, assess and select games to review.
  • The launch also includes a new dashboard and Website Directory for competitor benchmarking.

Game Benchmarking is here for Publishers

Publisher Analytics is now live on First Look Games and free for every publisher with a verified website.

This is a major update to the publisher platform. You now have a new dashboard, a Website Directory for competitor benchmarking and Game Benchmark, which changes how games can be discovered and selected for review.

The dashboard brings your main Publisher Analytics figures together, while Website Directory lets you investigate publisher websites and benchmark your site against competitors. Game Benchmark focuses on the day-to-day editorial decision of what to cover.

At the centre of the launch is Game Benchmark, built around one of the most common questions publishers face: which game should we review next?

Why is this Awesome for every publisher?

  • Cut the time spent finding possible reviews.
  • Compare two candidates before committing time to a review.
  • Build a shortlist of games that matches the editorial focus of your site.
  • See which games are already receiving coverage across the FLG network.
  • Find relevant games without a detected ranked review on your website.

How Game Benchmark helps you choose

Game Benchmark brings game discovery, coverage signals and side-by-side comparison into one feature.

Instead of moving between studio release schedules, press emails and other publisher websites, you can search the FLG game database and assess possible reviews in one place.

Find games that fit your site

If your site focuses on high-RTP, high-volatility slots, set a minimum RTP and select high volatility. You will get a list of games that meet those criteria, together with their release dates and studios.

You can narrow the results further by studio, keyword, reels, paylines, bet range, release date or mechanic. This makes Game Benchmark useful for discovery as well as performance comparisons.

Compare two games

Choose two games and open Compare Games to view their Estimated Reach, hits during the past 30 days, number of websites covering them, share of voice and sentiment side by side.

Using the same measures for both makes it easier to decide which game deserves closer investigation.

See which games are receiving coverage

Sort the results by FLG Index or Estimated Reach to see which games currently have the strongest coverage across the websites FLG tracks.

This will not predict the next breakout game. It shows where coverage and estimated audience reach already exist, giving you evidence to use alongside your own editorial judgement.

Find gaps on your own site

Set the Your ranked reviews filter to Games not reviewed by you. This removes games that FLG has identified as ranked reviews on your verified website.

You can then look for relevant games receiving coverage elsewhere that do not currently have a detected ranked review on your site.

How to start

Sign in to First Look Games and open Game Benchmark from the navigation. If your publisher account does not yet have a verified website, you will be asked to add or verify one before using Publisher Analytics.

FAQ

Is it really free?
Yes. Publisher Analytics is free for publisher accounts, with no paid tier and no add-on. The only requirement is one verified website on your account.

Why does the FLG Index not match the traffic I see elsewhere?
FLG Index and Estimated Reach are modelled estimates built to compare one game against another consistently. They are not a copy of your own analytics and will not match the figures in your GA4, Semrush or Ahrefs.
